CAPTAIN'S CHECKLIST

To help you successfully manage your dragon boat team we will provide all of the resources that you need to make preparing for race day and the day of the event go smoothly.

BEFORE RACE WEEK

Represent your team through pre-event communications and during the event.
Relay ALL information provided to you out to your team members so that they are fully informed.
Arrange payment for your team's registration fee.
Prepare the team roster and manage your paddlers' online waivers with the United Way's Team Coordinator prior to the event.
Attend all Team Captains' meetings.
Schedule your team's one-hour practice time on the week of the event and relay that information to your team members.

ON RACE DAY!

Report to the Registration Area on race day to pick up your team's wristbands.
Relay all pertinent updates to your team on race day (i.e. scheduling changes and race progression).
Ensure that your team members know when and where to be throughout the day.
Assist United Way of Sevier County by ensuring that your team follows the rules on race day, which includes no alcohol consumption on race day or permitted on-site!!!
